Surfing in the big city, for me it is a promised land!
I promised myself that before I die, I should be a heavy player in surfing or snow boarding, and because its a unique sport here in the Philippines and I want to try it and learn it, after graduating from inline skating, skateboarding, bmx, street hockey, ice skating and snorkling ahhaha, this is the sport I want to try here in Manila - Surfing!!!!
Its my Speed Racer movie blog post and the reason I post this because me and Lace went to a movie day out and watched the live action movie Speed Racer, yay!!

thats me going crazy while working... beating the deadline for a magazine ad. and hey its a total of 27 minutes, who's gonna watch this? hahhahaha
we will be out today just to remove the stress in our body, will have a morning swim at www.Watercampresort.com and then eat a big mac as our breakfast..wow. so excited for tomorrow.

I'm very comfortable working with the duo, and glad that they agreed to host the annual cosplay contest at the Toy Con. Also we are preparing for a meet and greet, photo op and autograph signing with artist and Toy Con guest of honor - Alodia Gosiengfiao. More news coming up soon! So thats a big chance for YOU to meet her in person.

Just you thought that the FCBD is finished. Fullybooked has annouced that they will be celebrating the wonders of giving free comics to all. I'll be there early maybe around 7am to line up or maybe we might camp out as early as before 6am just to make sure that eveyone will have their free comics hahahaha - well I just say that, but I'm not too sure in going early, crazy me.
I might be there to take coverage of the event and also do video coverage and chat with people, I remember the big crowd during the Neil Gaiman signing in all Fullybooked branches, and luckily that I'm not having a trauma back then for being worried standing in the back of hundreds of people.

Kitchie Nadal: Off to the Highway
Singer-song writer Kitchie Nadal is no longer singing on the same ground. With a lift from petrol firm Caltex, Kitchie is ready to hit it off the highway as she launches her second full-length album titled, “Love Letter”, April 11, at the Fully Booked in Bonifacio High Street.
The album contains 17 tracks disclosing Kitchie’s newfound inspiration and intense relationship with her Creator. “I want to share the grace I have received. I want my new album to be life-changing,” she said.
“What I wrote about here were inspired by the Bible… I was moved by the word ‘grace’ and wrote extensively about it in the album,” she explained, adding that, ”Grace is something difficult to grasp. It is easily thrown and said, but (seldom) understood. It caused so much breakthroughs in my life.”
One of the personal favorites of Kitchie in this new ensemble is the easy listening “Highway”, which is a mid-tempo love song to God. “You are the highway, apart from you are roads downhill, you are the highest way, the truth and the life, there’s no other road for me…”, writes the singer and lyricist.
The album carries 16 more original compositions of Kitchie as well as collaborations with Jack Rufo producer and co-writer of the songs Tadhana, Luc Middeldorp, Cynthia Alexander producer of the song “Iniibig Kita” and Akshai Sarin co-writer of the song “Walk on Water”. One of the compositions was written by Luc Middledorp a Europe-based band called “Insight.”
Other titles in the album include Armour Bearer, Wide Awake, Takipsilim, Love Letter, Beautiful Jesus, Grace, Apple of the Eye, and Lalaland.
This new album shares a plethora of insights about Kitchie’s own introspection that she wants to share to her listeners. “It’s a more mature album. It’s a breath of fresh air that can be your perfect companion on your own journey,“ she added.

The new gig with Caltex came at a right time, not to mention the perfect project, for Kitchie. She is featured in the new Caltex with Techron commercial and has appeared in various radio tours of the petroleum firm.

Kitchie was the singer-composer for both giant networks’ (ABS-CBN and GMA) popular soaps like I Luv New York, Rounin and Majika. She has also appeared in several tribute albums for legendary musicians in the Philippine scene.

I'm not talking about the people.. but I'm talking about this brand new shirt line by David and Goliath hahaha, just look at the 2nd pic above and just don't mind the first pic on top of it, because that me enjoying and fooling around on my first fotoloco machine pic, which I grabbed from their Flickr account.
more photos below Little Losers is a new shirt brand line of David and Goliath, it is a collection of funny graphic characters that gives a big tribute to character stereotype that carries a big sense of humor to people who wears it and reads it. The event is crazy and wacky, I just can't stop laughing at Gabe Mercado's funny stage line. There was a charade game, some kind of bring me game, and the Little Loser Dating game which Arthur blogger of Chickenmafia.com won a big prize, this time not in a chicken costume hahahaha.
I'm now planning this next week to grab my own Little Loser shirt, there's a shirt that has a label "Bloggers suck!" ahhaha, might grab that one too, I'm now collecting funny shirt just like the shirt I'm wearing that night " Hentai Inside" spoofing the Intel Inside logo.
Just went home with a big hang over of laughter and took home some freebies like this Little Loser stickers pad, Fotoloco pics and a caricature.

That's me in one of the video interview by Alex Villafania of Inquirer.net Hackenslash, It was funny because its turning to a regular appearance in every geeky and comics event coverage done by Hackenslash for their news blog website. and here I am giving some news and discuss what is Free Comic Book Day. The interview should be for Sandy, but since he went out to grab new comics boxes for everyone, so I did the interview cover for him and then I introduce Alex to Gerry Alanguilan and the others for a video interview too. At the end of the video, I suddenly revealed some upcoming event that I'm working on! ahhahaha, its an exclusive revelation of some big event for the coming months.

At the Free Comic Book Day celebration at Comic Odyssey in Robinsons Galleria, comic book enthusiasts lined up just to grab copies of the comic books. The event, which is an annual activity for Comic Odyssey, is aimed at reinvigorating the comic book collection community.
Its a 3 minute trailer for the upcoming Wolverine and the X-men animated series, at first I thought that it is for an animated movie, but the according to Marvel.com that this is a new animated series. Just watched the trailer..... Read and watch the trailer here

then went to a mall and strolled for some time...
He decided to visit a branch of the rival fastfood, owned by his archenemy, Ronald Mcdonald. He offered JOLLIBEE a very tempting job and they had a negotiation... and so, Jollibee decided to transfer to Mc Donald's as the second front act...
But what he doesn't know, it was all a propaganda to bring down the sales of JOLLIBEE...
so, hungry, homeless and jobless, JOLLIBEE resorted to begging

Been busy today and I'm still figuring out on how will I create a super kick ass poster for the 7th Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention, I already have a May 9th deadline for the magazine ad and here I am still studying on how to create a super kick ass poster, there are lots of styles and design I visually printed in my brain but for me Its so hard to materialize it, I think my heart is already to far from our event and I just don't feel it, it's like eating your pizza and according to Sensei Hiko Seijuro that if you don't taste the sake well, it means that there is something wrong with you.
yup thats right, there is something wrong with me and I don't feel the ToyCon this year, it seems that it will be my last for this year. well, I don't know..
also got a May 6th deadline for a magazine article, glad that they liked my photos in some event that I covered, will write that later on and this magazine gimik really activates my radioactive blood, need to write more and I guess that I really should blog more since I missed a lot of blogging schedules the past days.
We're having a meeting tonight for the ToyCon and I'm not that excited, because I feel not too confident right now, thats in opposite of Janina San Miguel's quote for the Q and A of some pageant, well I just feel some pressure and it drags me to smithereens.
Just saw the Iron Man movie with Lace yesterday, it was a big movie out for us and I'm now excited for Speed Racer and also Indiana Jones this month.
forgot to mention, my boss will arrive in Manila, he's from the USA and I feel excited to meet him again and will propose a lot of ideas for the company.
that's another blogging round for today, my picture above is from our swimming gig at Shangri La hotel in EDSA, my family and cousins were there so its a big freebie for all of us to get a quick dip that night.
hmm.. more to come this week, because I really need to blog this out! geeez..I really need to go swimming again, and eat embutido, lechon paksiw! gahhhh!!!! I'm going to take a bath today, and leave early for our meeting. I'll pig out tonight and that will be the last... diet comes tomorrow. okay?
